Drop Everything And Read

Bucks UTC / Drop Everything And Read

Drop Everything and Read (DEAR) is exactly what it sounds like! It is a call to action for people to stop what they are doing to read a book for 15 minutes. Bucks UTC will lead the first Drop Everything and Read movement on Monday 14th September 2020 and all students and staff will take part.

Even if you are not a reader for any reason, it is a great opportunity to further role model for our students’ young and enquiring minds. There are so many reasons to get involved! Reading is important for improving literacy skills and research shows it impacts progress in education.

Regularly reading can reduce stress and is beneficial for mental wellbeing and happiness. It can help people relax and improves empathy.
