Join us for an evening commemorating the start of the First World War
On Friday 18 July 2014 staff and students will be performing our year-end production, Keep the Home Fires Burning, to commemorate the start of the First World War. With help from the Beacon Community Choir, students will be singing songs from the era, as well as reciting poems and letters.
The evening will be a moving tribute to both those that fought in the Great War and those who offered their support on the home front. Students have not only written the script for the show, but also designed the publicity materials and an accompanying exhibition, which includes artefacts, photographs and other memorabilia from the period.
Entry to the Keep the Home Fires Burning is free but if you’d like to come along, please register by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org. Refreshments will be provided
