Students Get Creative For The Christmas Market Project

Students have been working hard this week in an all-school project that has seen them utilise their sales, marketing, design and team-leadership skills in preparation for participation in Aylesbury’s annual Christmas Craft & Gift Fair, to be held on Sunday 4th December, 11am-3pm.

The Project

Students have been working in their House Groups to create a range of exciting, festive designs to sell at this year’s Christmas Market. Each House Group – led by their tutors – are to compete against each other with an array of handmade products. These items best highlight the skills and expertise of students from both our specialisms of Computing and Construction and includes coat racks, spice racks, 3D-printed decorations, candles, photo frames, homeware and graphic designs.

The Big Day

Students will be selling their designs this Sunday 4th December at Aylesbury’s Christmas Craft & Gift Fair, 11am-3pm – with all the proceeds going to a good cause (further details to be announced). The Fair is located in the Market Square, just to the side of the Clock Tower opposite Halifax. Learners will not only have a chance to witness an outcome for their hard work, but it is also a perfect opportunity for them to gain experience working directly with members of the local community.

We welcome all parents, carers and supporters of our UTC to come and see our students’ talented works – and to join in all the fun!
