Teaching Staff Work To Empower Students’ Communication Skills
We are committed in supporting the development of our pupils, for their confidence and preparing them to be the best professionals they can be. In respect of this, we are pleased to announce that our teaching staff have been working with specialist training company Elklan – who are leaders in developing young people’s communication skills.
The training programme is specifically tailored for Further Education staff who work with students aged over 16, with the intention of empowering students to develop the communication skills that all young people need, especially for those who have speech, language and communication needs. The course runs over an eight-week period, and guides staff through the process and the challenges young people may face, and also informs of effective methods to support young adults to build confidence in these areas.
