Why should you study Computing ?

Firstly, the exciting specialism of Computing is an excellent opportunity to investigate how computers work and how they are used, and to develop computer programming and problem solving skills. Coupled with the fact that Bucks UTC has world-leading founding partners in the Computing . Moreover, these employers help us develop the curriculum and influence what we teach to our students. Consequently, this improves students’ employability and transferable skills. Secondly, all sponsors support the UTC, providing guidance to students plus information about career paths, skills and knowledge. Also offer opportunities for progression, placements and employment.

Furthermore, all students joining in Year 10 will work towards completing their GCSEs alongside their choice of Computing specialism.

Computing Specialism

As well as the compulsory subjects, the  students choosing Computing also study all of the following level 2 BTEC courses. In essence, each BTEC is worth the equivalent of one GCSE.
